Thanks for stopping by. I am a web developer by trade who dabbles in Photoshop for fun. |
All my drawings are from done on my Wacom Intuos 2 6x8 tablet.
All my deviations are copyright me, please ask for permission if you wish to edit, re-post or share my images elsewhere.
I change my method a bit each time, but basically I tend to draw the shape of an object in grey as a base fill. For hair, I will use smudge to pull the strands of hair out. Otherwise, I then duplicate the base layer, lock the layer transparency and set to Overlay, and use dodge and burn on 1-5% opacity to pull out highlights. Once I get the shading how I want it, I create a new layer on varying blend modes and color in a selection of the base layer transparency (technicolor?). I also like to duplicate my fill layer and use photoshop's filters and brushes to add texture to the layer then apply it as Overlay or soft light between my shading and base fill layer. I welcome any comments or feedback on my drawings.
